Bates Family Ranch offers camping and lodging near Great Basin National Park, Tours of Crystal Ball Cave and a great base for exploring the Great basin of Utah and Nevada!

Bates Family Ranch is a family owned operation and has been in the Bates Family since the 1940's.

Our campground area consists of several campsites for RV and Tent Camping (No hookups) and 4 rustic cabins located in a Grass covered, tree lined orchard that is over 100 years old!

We are Home to Crystal Ball Cave and are located about one and a half miles from Gandy Warm Springs.

The Ranch sits at the base of Spring Mountain on the Utah/Nevada Border in Gandy, Utah, 29 miles North of HWY 6&50. We are located a short drive from: Great Basin National Park, Mt. Moriah Wilderness, Wild Horses, Crystal Ball Cave, Deep Creek Mountain Range and are a great base for Utah and Nevada Hunting and Fishing. We are located in an extremely rural area of western Utah (30 miles of improved county dirt road) and offer a great escape from the hustle and bustle of City life.

We have restroom and shower facilities.

We do not offer any food service at this time. Bring what you would bring on any other camping trip.

The nearest place for any kind of food, gas or groceries is The Border Inn 30 miles to the south.
